Dolphin Aloha: Frequently Asked Questions

What is Dolphin Aloha?

Dolphin Aloha is a relaxed, dry-land, poolside introduction to bottlenose dolphins. You’ll meet the animal care team, learn how trainers communicate, and help guide simple enrichment behaviors—no swimming required.

Do I get in the water?

No. Dolphin Aloha takes place entirely out of the water, making it ideal for young children, non-swimmers, and guests who prefer to stay dry.

How long is the experience?

The core encounter runs about 20 minutes. Plan extra time for check-in and photos, and enjoy the park’s other shows and exhibits the same day.

Is park admission included?

Yes. Dolphin Aloha includes same-day admission to Sea Life Park, so you can explore exhibits and scheduled presentations before or after your session.

What ages can participate?

Ages 1 and up are welcome. It’s a great fit for families with toddlers as well as couples seeking a low-key, educational experience.

How many people are in a group?

Groups are kept small so everyone has a clear view and time with the trainers. Exact group sizes vary by date and operations.

Can pregnant guests participate?

Yes. Because it’s out of the water and low impact, Dolphin Aloha is generally suitable for pregnant guests.

What should we wear or bring?

Comfortable resort wear and flat shoes are perfect. Bring reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, and your camera for photos outside the staging area.

Are there photo opportunities?

Yes. Trainers create moments for great poolside photos. Professional photo packages may be available for purchase.

Are there safety or etiquette rules?

For animal safety, remove jewelry and avoid bringing loose items into the staging area. Follow all trainer instructions and keep hands clear unless invited to interact.

Can non-participants watch?

Spectator access to the staging area is restricted. To see the interaction up close, book the program; companions can explore the park and meet you afterward.

What if we don’t speak English?

At least one participating adult should be able to understand trainer instructions, or you may bring a paid participant to translate.

How early should we arrive?

Arrive 1 hour before your scheduled time to check in, store personal items, and review guidelines without rushing.

What’s the difference between Dolphin Aloha and the in-water programs?

Dolphin Aloha is dry-land and observational with light, guided interaction from the pool’s edge. In-water programs (like Dolphin Encounter or Dolphin Exploration) include trainer-led time in the water and have different age, ratio, and safety requirements.

What is the payment policy for parking, food, drinks, photos, and souvenirs?

Sea Life Park is totally cashless. All point-of-sale locations—including parking, food & beverages, photo packages, and gift shops/souvenirs—accept major credit cards, debit cards, and contactless wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. Cash is not accepted. Please bring a card or a supported mobile wallet for all purchases.

All requests must be in writing by email dolphinworldresponse@gmail.com.

  • 30–15 days: 50% service charge
  • 14–8 days: 75% service charge
